New Arrivals and Staff Picks

2019, Vina Clavidor ‘Cepas Viejas’, $14
Grapes: Blend of Viura and Verdejo

Tasting Notes: Great Spanish ‘Cepas Viejas,’ or old vines- here planted over seventy years ago. Sustainably farmed, and naturally fermented. Ripe peach blossom aromas, with crisp citrus in the finish. Great pairing with spicy foods!

2018,  Francois Carillon 1611 Puligny-Montrachet, $25

Tasting Notes: Aligote can, at times, be a somewhat austere savory and mineral driven white wine. However, this selection by Francois Carillon is stunningly accessible. It has a clear fruity nose, with lovely strawberry juiciness in the mouth. Clean finish, nice refreshing length.

2019 Can Sumoi La Rosa, $20
Grapes: Blend of Sumoll, Parellada, and Xarello

Tasting Notes: Biodynamic farming and natural fermentation. Pale pink rose with a light and lively mouthfeel. Ripe red raspberries. Great pairing with herbed fish and veggies!

 Geek of the Week

2017 Olianas Perdixi, $28
Grapes: Blend of Bovale, Carignano and Cannonau

Tasting Notes: Remarkably bold and rustic red from Sardinia. Full-bodied and savory, with a unique Ferric undertone that carries through the dark wild berry fruit. This wine is outstanding!
